How to Replace Tesla Model 3 TPMS Sensor with LAUNCH CRT5011

When a 2020 Tesla Model 3 has a TPMS fault and one sensor fails to respond, the LAUNCH Creader 511S V2 can be used to identify the failed sensor, program.

Identify the Failed TPMS Sensor

  1. Go to TPMS → TESLA → Model 3 → 2016/01–2020/08 (433MHz) [103460200A] → Active.
  2. Activate all four tire pressure sensors. FR, RR, and RL activate successfully, but FL fails.
  3. The FL sensor is confirmed faulty.

Program the Replacement Sensor

  1. Remove the failed FL sensor and select Learning. Check the sensor part number or print number. Proceed only if one matches. For an original sensor, verify it. For a different-brand sensor, continue.
  2. Select Programming → Auto. Wait for the programming result.
  3. Alternatively, select Manual to enter the original sensor ID, or Copy by OBD to copy it. If tire pressure values do not appear afterward, the Tesla learning procedure is still required.
