Solve LAUNCH X-PRPG3 Clone MED17.8.31 failure: inspection security failed
I have a Launch X-Prog3 and do a lot of work with it, and its user-friendly interface and intuitive controls make automotive ECU programming a breeze. But I faced challenges when I cloned LandRover Sport 2018 ECU (MED17.8.31). Error message displayed: “inspection security failed.” By diligently analyzing the pinout issue and adjusting the power supply accordingly, I found the problem: Pinout issue as the root cause. Noted discrepancy with two 12V pins. Adjusted power supply to pin 8 with 12 volts, enabling successful reading process.
