LAUNCH X431 EV Diagnostics: BYD Han Maintenance Light Reset

 This article explains how to find instructions for resetting the BYD Han EV’s maintenance light in the LAUNCH X431 diagnostic tool.

Newer vehicles (especially new energy vehicles) can perform basic maintenance tasks, such as tire pressure calibration and various reset functions, using the in-vehicle tablet. The LAUNCH X431 diagnostic tool not only provides manual reset functions for traditional vehicles, but also provides instructions for automatic resets.

Function description: BYD Han EV/e9 pure electric edition service lamp reset

Supported products: The LAUNCH X431 diagnostic tool supports EV vehicle diagnostics, such as the LAUNCH CRP919 EV.

After purchasing the EV diagnostic kit and license, the LAUNCH X431 PAD series and PRO3 series also support this feature.

Tested model: BYD Han (2022), VIN: LC0CE6CD6M1******

Procedure:

1. On a Launch X-431 new energy diagnostic device, choose [New Energy Diagnose].

2. Choose [Vehicle Diagnosis]. Search and choose the new energy vehicle series menu [BYD_EV] -> [Manually Select Car Model].

3. Choose [Han].

4. Choose [Han EV/e9].

5. Click [High-speed Scan].

6. Access the instrument cluster system and choose [Special Function] -> [Service lamp reset manual operation], and operate as prompted.

7.In the main interface of the vehicle central control screen, click the vehicle icon in the lower left corner.

8.Click [Vehicle Health], where you can set the service mileage and service time.

After selecting the mileage and time, click OK to complete the settings.

OK, the maintenance light reset is complete.
