LAUNCH X431 PAD V + XPROG3 erase MED17.7.X ECU data
LAUNCH-X431 diagnostic tool with XPROG3 expansion module can perform more ECU operations and IMMO functions. This article will introduce how to use LAUNCH-X431 PAD V + XPROG3 to erase MED17.7.X ECU data.
Function Introduction
Launch Scanners support to erase the engines of Mercedes-Benz models: MED17.7. X, ME9.7, SIM271KE2.0, SIM271DE2.0, and it will become inactive after erased.
Equipment Requirements
XPROG3 (G3) module, and X431 diagnostics tools that support the XPROG3 module (e.g. X431 PAD V, PAD VII).
Software Requirements
Mercedes V49.60 and above
Operation Steps: (Here take the MED17.7.X model as an example)
1. Enter the software and click [Theft protection].
2. Click [Expert mode].
3. Network is required to download the wiring diagram. Please make sure that the network is well connected and click [OK].
4. Click [OK].
5. Click [Engine Control Unit].
6. Click [Wiring diagram].
7. Click [MED17.7.x].
8. After the module is removed and connected according to the wiring diagram, click [OK].
9. Click [Return (<)].
10. Click [Completely erase module].
11. Click [OK].
12. It will show the engine information for erasing unprecedented. Click [OK] to begin erasing.
13. Erasing. And the engine information is displayed after the wipe successful, Click [OK] to exit the function
