LAUNCH X431 connection VCI error: Diagnostic Connector Connection Abnormal
If the user cannot connect to the VCI (DBscar VII/ SmartLink/ SmartBox) when using the LAUNCH-X431 diagnostic device, various prompts will appear, such as:
"Diagnostic Connector Connection Abnormal";
"Vehicle identification failed, the reason is scanning is not supported, please try again or use manual selection".
There are many reasons for this situation, but the solution is usually to reset the firmware. The following are the firmware repair function paths for each diagnostic device of LAUNCH-X431:
LAUNCH-X431 PRO5, V+ 5.0(PRO3 5.0), PRO3S+ V5.0, CRP919E BT (CRP919E, CRP919X), PRO3 APEX, PRO TT, PRO3 ACE:
User Info -> Firmware Fix -> Press Firmware Fix -> Scan bluetooth connector
LAUNCH-X431 Tablet Series(PAD V, PAD VII, PAD IX):
User Info -> Fix connector firmware/system -> Fix Connector Firmware or Fix Connector System.
